Healthy Housing Check
More than 40% of kiwi homes are damp or mouldy. Over 50,000 people have now used the free online HomeFit tool to check whether their homes are warm, dry, safe and efficient. Recent surveys have found that over 50% of people that use the free checks go on to make improvements to their home such as adding more insulation or putting a fan or ground vapour barrier in. They can then employ a HomeFit trained assessor to come and give them a report or certificate to show the home meets the Healthy Homes Standards.
