Ripple Effect Conference, 2023
In October 2023, Stronger Waitaki held their fourth Ripple Effect Conference. The Ripple Effect conferences are designed to engage, educate and build capability within individuals, organisations, and community.
The conference this year focussed on family violence / sexual violence, more specifically in multi-ethnic, diverse and vulnerable communities. The goal of the conference was To provide interactive, multicultural, professional development/education about current initiatives that address issues of family harm and sexual harm in multi-ethnic, diverse and vulnerable communities and explore opportunities for change and to provide networking opportunities for attendees from a range of organisations including social service agencies, mental health providers, police, the education sector, and workplaces.
